Job Description

Position Summary/Scope of Responsibility

The Project Manager (PM) – Window and Door Specialist is responsible for validating the windows and doors installation process across both residential and multi-family projects to ensure all phases are executed correctly and efficiently. The PM – Window and Door Specialist emphasizes proper training, compliance, and adherence to standards by overseeing and verifying that Project Managers, Inspectors, and crews follow correct procedures.

Establishes sincere and valuable relationships with clients and business partners to ensure long-term, efficient, and successful production. This position requires occasional local travel using a company-provided vehicle for on-site project management up to 40% of the time. The PM – Window and Door Specialist should lead by example and uphold the mission and values of Exterior Medics.


Role Duties

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assesses, manages, and documents project scope and program, describing the objectives, physical requirements, and constraints of assigned projects. Including not only the client’s desires and functional needs but also Exterior Medics’ criteria for health and safety, operation, maintenance, efficiency, quality, and aesthetics.
  • Serves as the point of contact and subject matter expert for all matters regarding windows and doors to identify, address, and resolve project issues and deliver client satisfaction.
  • Validates the windows and doors process to ensure PMs are ordering materials accurately, Inspectors are measuring properly, and crews are installing according to company processes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Trains and mentors PMs, Inspectors, and Crews to maintain process consistency and adherence to company standards. Defers to the Production Director regarding PMs, Inspectors, and Crews with persistent issues adhering to window and door processes and standards.
  • Oversees both residential and multifamily window and door installation projects.
  • Collaborates with PMs on multi-trade projects, ensuring smooth communication with team members, vendors, and clients.
  • Reviews contracts and work orders to confirm accurate project scopes and ensure materials are properly allocated.
  • Monitors project timelines, ensuring materials, equipment, and inspections are well-coordinated.
  • Conducts audits to ensure project documentation is current in the CRM and all relevant information is accurately recorded.
  • Performs regular inspections to validate quality of work, focusing on compliance with customer and company standards, as well as local, state, and federal building codes.
  • Provides ongoing training on new products, procedures, and industry updates to ensure team members are well-informed and properly equipped.
  • Acts as a liaison between Clients, Crews, Vendors, and Team Members to ensure clarity and resolve issues.
  • Assists in the development and refinement of processes and procedures related to window and door installation to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Establishes new and strengthens existing relationships with window and door vendors; including attendance of networking events and presenting EM core values in all interactions with possible and existing vendors.
  • Collaborates with warehouse team to validate inventory management for windows and doors.
  • Oversees warranty claims and ensures they are processed efficiently and in alignment with company standards.
  • Supports and ensures compliance with safety procedures during installations and inspections.
  • Maintains an increasing knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes, communicating updates to the Production Director and relevant team members.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary.
Job Requirements
Required Education & Experience

- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years’ experience in the remodeling/construction field with an emphasis on windows and doors.
- 3+ years’ experience directly leading a team(s) whether as a manager or supervisor.
- Proven experience using CRMs and shared file applications systematically.
- CPM is preferred but not required.
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Valid, non-restrictive, driver’s license
