We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Reagents Buyer/Planner to join our operations team!

How You’ll Contribute

  • Execute material planning and procurement activities
  • Review and analyze forecasts and production plans to create strategic sourcing plans for consumables manufacturing
  • Ensure timely materials availability for production
  • Proactively monitor suppliers’ capacity and material constraints to prevent supply chain disruptions
  • Manage supplier relationships, lead issue resolution related to purchase orders
  • Identify and evaluate supply risks - propose and execute action plans to mitigate the supply risks
  • Assess market conditions, identify industry best practices and emerging trends to identify new cost reduction and value creation opportunities
  • Support data analysis needed for strategic supplier analysis, supplier quality initiatives, and other compliance requirements
  • Lead cross-functional teams to find, assess, and select suppliers that will improve value to the organization and help attain targeted business results
  • Other duties and tasks assigned to support NPI and Supplier Quality

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • BS in supply chain management, logistics, business management or related fields
  • 5+ years’ experience in procurement role or related position
  • Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills
  • Proven knowledge of inventory management, project management, should-cost models, and supplier negotiation
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and forecasting tools and ability to develop actionable insights from data
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to build, develop and maintain trusting relationships both internally and externally
  • Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines; able to balance short-term, urgent needs with long-term strategic initiatives

At Ultima Genomics, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $100,000 and $120,000, if performed in California, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
