We are looking for a highly motivated Facilities Technician to join our team!

The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks, such as painting, carpentry, basic electricals & plumbing, furniture installation and reconfiguration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC). Performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned. This is a full-time contracting position with a Monday-Friday schedule, reporting to the Facilities Manager.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Paint, remodel, refurbish areas as needed
  • Inspect, repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities including freezers and Milli Q water systems
  • Change of all filters, belts & troubleshooting for HVAC units as required
  • Prepare conference rooms for meetings; install TV`s, whiteboards, remove or rearrange furniture for events or meetings, as needed
  • Remove and properly dispose of all recyclable materials
  • Change light bulbs, replace ballasts, interior, and exterior, as needed
  • Assist with all office/lab furniture installation, assist with equipment installs/removals
  • Perform facilities inspections to identify deficiencies and put in work orders
  • Assist in furniture procurement, installation, and reconfiguration
  • Basic plumbing, carpet, baseboards, and ceiling tiles installations,
  • Oversee daily trash removal, restocking/, sweeping/mopping/vacuuming, cleaning/disinfecting tables and counters, cleaning exterior entryway, cleaning/polishing/floor
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned
  • Must be able to work flexible hours

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • High school education or higher
  • 5-10 years of working experience in facilities maintenance
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, installation, HVAC
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer service oriented
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, able to multi-task with can-do attitude
  • Ability to push/lift 50 pounds
  • Fast pace-paced environment with ability to climb ladders and use power tools
  • Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require
