OPPORTUNITY
We need the talents of an embedded software engineer who can bring hardware to life assisting in the development of bleeding-edge technologies for the sporting goods industry. This is an opportunity to get involved at the ground floor and contribute to something amazing. We are a small team of innovators, and you will have the opportunity to contribute and grow your technical skillset.
 
WHO WE NEED
Someone who will work directly with our founder and other team members to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of our products and research prototypes. In this role, you will perform all aspects of software design, development, troubleshooting, and management, with a focus on proof-of-concept hardware such as Arduino, Seeed, and Raspberry Pi based processors and their ecosystems. Although we are hardware and software agnostic in our approach, there are common elements in our work of which we require foundational knowledge and experience.

Technical Skills
Hardware
- Arduino/Seeed, and Raspberry Pi including their ecosystem for proof-of-concept and prototyping and custom processors as we evolve
Software
- C++, Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Node.js, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Windows, Linux, Mac, iOS, Android
- FreeRTOS, RtuinOS, Zephyr
- RNG, ciphering, firmware- based verification/encryption, and TinyCrypt
- AI/ML/ES and algorithm development and deployment using tools such as TensorFlow, TinyML

Program and Project Management Skills
- Leading and being a team player in a small team
- Experience with DoD, Law Enforcement, and/or Intelligence Community programs is a plus.

IMPORTANT
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related is preferred, but not required;
- Legally authorized to work in the United States;
- Are sufficiently employed and/or financially secure (we are a start-up-this position is time-for-equity only);
- Although this is a remote work position, if you are local to the Cincinnati/Southwestern Ohio/Northwestern Kentucky area, that would be preferred.
