Friends of Children of Mississippi, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing ongoing reports to support our mission of enhancing the lives of children and families. You will work closely with various departments to identify trends, develop insights, and support decision-making processes. This role requires a strong foundation in data analysis skills, SQL proficiency, and familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Duties
Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights that support our programs.
Utilize SQL to extract data from databases and perform complex queries.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into analytical requirements.
Create visual representations of data using tools such as Visio to facilitate understanding among non-technical stakeholders.
Participate in Agile project management methodologies to ensure timely delivery of analysis projects.
Conduct business analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements based on data findings.
Document processes and maintain comprehensive records of analysis results for future reference.
Experience
Proven experience in data analysis or a related field is essential.
Strong knowledge of SQL for database management and querying.
Familiarity with SDLC principles and methodologies.
Experience with Agile project management practices is preferred.
Proficiency in business analysis techniques to support organizational goals.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends from complex datasets.
Prior experience using data visualization tools is a plus.
