Job Summary:
The Branch Manager will manage Teller/CSR Staff, foster a positive environment, ensure customer satisfaction and proper branch operation. Will require initiative and knowledge of Bank services available to customers. Will exhibit a friendly, positive attitude and need to take pride in their work.
This position is not a remote position, nor does it have the option of being a hybrid position.
Work schedule is Monday through Friday and Saturdays as scheduled.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ø Manages and supervises employees; responsible for directing all operational aspects including customer service and administration.
- Ø Accountable for opening and closing of the branch.
- Ø Provide training, coaching, development, and motivation to your staff.
- Ø Provide customer service and promote customer goodwill by answering customer inquiries and providing general information regarding Bank products and services.
- Ø Responsible for scheduling of employees; reviewing employee timecards, editing, correcting, and approving each pay period.
- Ø Approve time off requests and confirm coverage in all areas of responsibility.
- Ø Maintain and encourage a positive attitude in the workplace to achieve a good working knowledge of company goals.
- Ø Conducts annual performance evaluations.
- Ø As the Branch Manager, you will need to be able to perform the duties of your Tellers/CSRs so you can provide training and step in when necessary.
- Ø Maintain working knowledge of both personal and business electronic banking products (internet/mobile services, cash management, electronic payment solutions, etc.).
- Ø Observe suspicious behavior. In the event of a robbery, remain calm; follow bank procedures to safeguard customers and staff.
- Ø Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all regulations/applicable laws.
- Ø Participate in community activities to enhance public awareness of the bank.
- Ø Ensures the safety and security of customers, employees, and branch assets by following and enforcing all security procedures.
- Ø Work to grow the branch and acquire new customers.
- Ø Ability to be flexible with work schedule; may require you to be available after hours or on the weekend.
- Ø May be responsible for building upkeep/maintenance or work closely with the Maintenance Department.
- Ø Knowledge of the Patriot Act
- Ø Online Account Opening Maintenance.
- Ø New/Modify of existing accounts.
- Ø Process all manners of CD’s.
- Ø Daily Operation projects
- Ø Balancing several accounts and GL’s.
- Ø May be required to travel to the Main Bank in Mendota and/or other locations on occasions.
- Ø Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Ø Individual must have strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ø Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Ø Ability to influence, motivate and coach others through knowledge of bank operations.
- Ø Effective verbal and written communication in a professional and diplomatic manner.
- Ø Must be knowledgeable of bank policies, procedures, and general banking practices.
- Ø Requires a mature, professional person with an outgoing personality, and the ability to conduct themselves with tact, courtesy, and a genuine desire to serve others.
- Ø Possess the necessary judgement that is required to assess, interpret, and meet the needs of the customers.
- Ø Represent and promote the bank and its various banking products.
- Ø Requires being able to multi-task while paying attention to detail and accuracy.
Education and Experience:
- Ø A college degree in Finance or a related field, ie. Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Management.
- Ø 5 years or more of experience in the banking industry.
- Ø Understanding of banking industry practices and financial data analysis.
- Ø Supervisory and conflict management skills, a plus.
- Ø A sense of discretion and willingness to maintain strict confidentiality of pertinent and sensitive information.
- Ø Demonstrate ability to lead and motivate a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ø Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other Federal, State, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ø Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other Federal, State and Local standards.
- Ø Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ø Must be able to talk, listen, sit, stand, walk, and speak clearly on telephone.
