readiness. We take our role seriously and as part of the Energy, Resilience and
Sustainability (ERS) Division, you will collaborate with experts to provide
comprehensive policy, planning, and implementation services to deliver
solutions that address critical occupational safety and health issues and
support the military mission.
The ERS Division is seeking a highly motivated and
qualified candidate to support senior-level Marine Corps Installations Command
(MCICOM) clients with a portfolio focused on installation energy and water
security issues. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the
development of MCICOM policies, strategies, and plans in order to enhance
energy and water security and meet federal energy and emissions goals. The
successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to assimilate new concepts
quickly, have a strong background in federal energy policies, be detail
oriented, and enjoy working with small project teams to develop policies,
strategies and projects focused on federal energy and emissions goals.
The preferred location is in the DC area and there may be the flexibility to
work remotely while participating in some in-person client and team meetings in
the DC area and/or site visits. Some travel is required.
Key Responsibilities:
·Conduct energy and water policy
research and analysis of Congressional legislation and DoD policy.
·Develop MCICOM policies and
strategies related to energy and water issues directed at Marine Corps regions
and installations.
·Analyze energy and water data to
track progress against requirements and support data-driven policy decision
making.
·Document success stories,
lessons learned, and best practices of installations implementing energy and
water initiatives.
·Prepare reports, briefings,
information papers, and presentations to support program initiatives.
·Coordinate energy and water
initiatives on behalf of MCICOM with internal and external stakeholders.
·Maintain strong client
relationships.
Basic Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering, Public Policy, Management, or related discipline with at least 2-4
years of directly related experience
·Knowledge of energy and water
security concepts and policy issues, energy efficiency and/or other advanced
technologies
·Strong attention to detail with
excellent time management, project management, follow through and communication
skills
·Capacity to work as a member of
a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently in
both a virtual and in-person environment.
·The candidate must have the
ability to obtain and maintain as US Government Common Access Card (CAC) for
this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
·Located in the Washington, DC
Metro Area
·Knowledge of Navy and Marine
Corps structure and operations
·Experience in government
consulting or supporting government organizations
·Experience in policy development
and strategic planning
·Proven experience in
facility-level energy and water management
·Excellent data gathering,
analytical, problem-solving, and client service skills
