TECHNICIAN TRAINEE

CTC has an immediate need for an entry level technician to perform
material handling, material tracking, fork truck operation, basic crane
operation, local van pickup and deliveries, wooden shipping crate construction,
saw cutting, assisting engineering staff as well as welding/machining technical
staff.
Key Responsibilities:
·Perform all duties while
maintaining compliance with all regulatory, quality system and safety
requirements and the ability to communicate in a professional manner.
·Assist with the transportation
of materials within CTC and to outside vendors.
·Utilize work order and material
tracking system to log activities and materials.
·Assist experienced technicians
with various tasks to include, but not limited to machining, welding and
building maintenance.
·Perform additional
responsibilities as appropriate or as requested.
Basic Qualifications:
·Candidates shall be reliable,
cooperative, flexible and willing to learn with an excellent work ethic.
·Must have a clean driving
record.
·High school diploma required or
certificate from technical school.
·Skilled at using a variety of
standard hand tools.
·Previous experience working in
a machine shop or heavy industrial environment.
Physical and Mental Demands:
·Regularly or frequently
talking, hearing, touching, grasping, standing, walking, reaching with
hands/arms and performing repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement.
·Light work exerting up to 20
pounds of force.
·Clarity of vision at 20 inches
or less, three-dimensional vision, ability to identify and distinguish colors,
and ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus to review
test results.
·Intermediate reading, writing
and math skills to interpret written instructions and mechanical drawings.
Work Environment:
·This position is in a
climate-controlled environment and is safety and security sensitive.
·Moderate noise level.
·Occasionally works near moving
mechanical parts.
