We are looking for a highly motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team!

Software is a critical part of our Product. As a key member of the Software Integration team, you will utilize your DevOps expertise to facilitate high-quality and secure software development and delivery through platform engineering and automation.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Build software development platforms and deploy infrastructure as code
  • Develop automation and implement CI/CD pipelines to facilitate development, release, deployment, and infrastructure provisioning
  • Interface with development, QA and operations teams throughout the product lifecycle
  • Design infrastructure and contribute code to both internal and customer-facing software products
  • Develop and deploy infrastructure monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Manage, automate, and optimize cloud infrastructure for improved scalability, security, and cost
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform, infrastructure and/or software engineering
  • Solid experience in automating workflows, building CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub actions
  • Experience developing and managing software and infrastructure on-premise and in the cloud as well as experience with configuration management and orchestration tools
  • Advanced knowledge of Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud infrastructure services, and security architecture
  • Proficiency in Linux Bash scripting, PowerShell, and Python
  • Working knowledge of SAML, Single Sign-On (SSO), and Terraform Cloud is required
  • Competency in Salt and Ansible preferred
  • Familiarity with web services and hosting architecture and tools, including Nginx, AWS ELB, Lambda, and Docker
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

At Ultima Genomics, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $120,000 and $145,000, if performed in California, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
