Position Overview:
Manages all phases of aerial construction and verifies that in-house aerial crews perform work according to the best interest of the Company. Responsible for the safety and progress of construction activity and personnel.

Position Responsibilities:
- Oversee all inhouse Aerial Construction across Mediacom Coastal.
- Draw and sketch installation and location of equipment, such as amplifiers, power supplies and cable.
- Ensure required permits, easements, etc. are acquired as needed.
- Direct personnel, materials, and equipment to given locations within the system.
- Inspect pole installations to ensure compliance with work specifications.
- Log work completed and prepare progress reports as required.
- Provide information as directed, about problems or potential problems, which might impede progress.
- Travel to and regularly inspects the progress and quality of construction projects performed by system personnel.
- Perform interviewing, hiring, monitoring, evaluating, and disciplining of field personnel.
- Monitor safety practices and holding safety meetings as required.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with utilities, general public and governmental agencies.
- Ensure thorough inventory procedures, required equipment and material levels by effective planning, ordering and conservation of physical resources, to ensure optimum plant operations.
- Act as a liaison between other departments.
- Ensure quality control inspections are performed on all field personnel on a regular basis to assure quality and recommend additional training as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.
- Preferred - 2 years’ experience as a CATV Construction lineman or 4+ years’ as a Broadband Specialist IV or V system technician or equivalent cable technician experience.
- Required – 2 to 3 years’ supervisory experience.
- Valid Driver’s license; satisfactory driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT Physical
- Knowledge of all construction tools and equipment including bucket trucks, lasher, blocks, pulling grips, stand/cable trailers, cable layers, hoists, bolt cutters, lay-up sticks and hand lines.
- Knowledge of construction, electrical codes (related state and local codes), NESC, NEC codes and safety precautions.
- Ability to work flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
- Ability to read and utilize system maps and plans.
- Ability to travel and stay out of town when required.
- Ability to interact with customers and co-workers; ability to communicate verbally.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Microsoft Office experience preferred (Excel-Word-Outlook)
Physical Requirements:
- Physical effort represented by frequent handling of heavy objects (approx. 50-100 lbs.) and materials, or heavy hand tools.
