Resilience and Sustainability (ERS) Division, you will collaborate with experts
to provide comprehensive policy, planning, and implementation services
addressing critical needs in support of our federal clients.
The ERS Division is seeking a highly motivated and qualified
candidate to support senior-level Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM)
clients with a portfolio focused on installation energy and water security
issues. As a key member of the team, this person will focus on the development
and execution of MCICOM programs to meet energy efficiency goals. The
successful candidate will possess direct knowledge of energy efficiency
concepts, including metering, benchmarking, and energy auditing, including deep
energy retrofits, and have a background in DoD or federal utilities/energy
management. Experience directly supporting military installation energy
programs as a resource efficiency manager or conducting energy audits is
desired. The preferred location is in the DC area, but there is flexibility to
work remotely while participating in some in-person client and team meetings in
the DC area and/or site visits. Travel for this position is expected to be
10-20%.
Key Responsibilities:
Support federal conservation initiatives such as metering, benchmarking, auditing, and commissioning by promoting Marine Corps energy and water security objectives, making impactful contributions through insights and recommendations based on research and emerging trends in energy and water technology and policy.Collect, manage, and analyze energy and water data to track progress against requirements, visualize key metrics, and support data-driven policy decision making.Review and provide recommendations to update MCICOM policies related to energy and water issues directed at Marine Corps regions and installations.Collaborate and coordinate with internal Marine Corps stakeholders and external stakeholders to scale successful energy and water conservation initiatives across the enterprise, while maintaining strong client relationships to ensure effective communication and implementation.Prepare reports, briefings, information papers, and presentations to support program initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Public Policy, Management, or related discipline with at least 4-6 years of directly related experienceKnowledge of or strong interest in energy and water security concepts and policy issues, energy efficiency and/or other advanced technologiesStrong attention to detail with excellent time management, project management, follow through and communication skillsCapacity to work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently in both a virtual and in-person environment.The candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Common Access Card (CAC) for this position.

Located in the Washington, DC Metro AreaKnowledge of Navy and Marine Corps structure and operations Experience in government consulting or supporting government organizationsAdept at navigating a dynamic federal policy landscape, including updating department policies to ensure legal compliance and alignment with evolving priorities and directives.Experience in facility-level energy and water management, including experience as a resource efficiency manager, installation energy manager, or energy auditorExperience in energy efficiency, sustainability initiatives, or related fields, especially in consulting or engineering contextsExcellent data gathering, analytical, problem-solving, and client service skillsProficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools
