The CTC Engineering Division specializes in transforming

clients.
Key Responsibilities:
·The duties of this position
will involve using CAD to develop solid models and prepare complete sets of
detailed manufacturing drawings, frequently complex in nature, to include
multiple views and assembly drawings.
·Work from sketches, models, and
verbal information provided by an engineer or designer to determine the most
appropriate detail drawings and supplementary information needed.
·Select required information
from precedents, manufacturers’ catalogs, and technical documentation.
·Understand and document
dimensions, tolerances fits, and fabrication techniques on drawings.
·Determine the arrangement of
and prepare detailed drawing packages
·Will work as part of a project
team to help analyze problems and recommend appropriate solutions
· Performs additional
responsibilities as appropriate or as requested
Basic Qualifications:
·Candidate must have a minimum
of a high school diploma plus additional formal technical training in creating
engineering drawings (equivalent to an Associate's degree)
·Minimum of 2 years experience
in technical drafting, design drawing, and technical illustration
·Advanced user of Computer Aided
Design (CAD) Software such as Creo, Solidworks, etc.
·Comprehensive knowledge of
symbols for welding, machine finishes, electrical, hydraulic, and other
components.
·Understanding of reverse
engineering techniques and rapid prototyping processes.
·Familiarity with current
military, government, and other industrial standards and specifications
·Works well in a team
environment
·Strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
·The position requires a high
degree of technical competence regarding the broad application of engineering
principles to the development of new capabilities and/or solutions to
customers’ challenging problems, while working with an experienced engineering
team
·Demonstrates excellent written
and oral communication skills.
Physical and Mental Demands:
·Regularly or frequently
sitting, talking, hearing, grasping, touching, walking, reaching with
hands/arms and performing repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movements.
·Sedentary work exerting up to
10 pounds of force.
·Clarity of vision at 20 inches
or less to use computer. Three-dimensional vision to judge distance and space
relationships when interpreting or creating drawings. Ability to identify and
distinguish color to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
·Concentrated attention to
conduct mathematical calculations, drawing and model development and working on
dimensions and square footage.
·Apply principles of rational
systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a
variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagrammatic, or schedule
form.
·Intermediate to advanced math
skills to deal with mathematical relationships, algebra, geometry, and shop
math (i.e. fractions, percentages, proportions, slide rule, etc.).
·Intermediate reading and
writing skills.
Work Environment:
·Moderate noise level (i.e.
computers, printers, etc.).
·Indoor temperature-controlled
office environment. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts in machine
shop.
